After the tragic events of 2020, the killing of American citizen George Floyd coupled with the disproportionately negative effects COVID-19 has had on Black and Asian communities, race and racial injustices, and the Bedford Working Together Group decided to take action to find a way to address some of these inequalities.

The group are keen for local work to be done to address inequalities within local mental health services, and to find ways to work collaboratively with staff, to capitalise on the opportunity to bring together service user and staff voices to develop solutions.

The project is being led by the Trust’s People Participation team, and to find out more about how you can get involved, download the summary of the group' work here.
