An open invitation has been issued for colleagues, service users and carers to take part in a programme of events organised to discuss issues that affect us all.

Voice Box, a safe space for respectful and progressive discussion, is the brainchild of Carl Ramsey, Bedfordshire and Luton Recovery College coordinator and the course and virtual lead for the City & Hackney Recovery College

Carl launched Voice Box in October 2020 and is now coordinating online discussions around topical themes.

The August 2021 programme topics include conspiracy theories, opinions, consent, man’s best friend and has society gone too far?

“The whole purpose of this forum is so that people can just communicate freely and respectfully, irrespective of professional role or mental health diagnosis,” said Carl.

He has also thanked Jane Kelly, the Trust’s Clinical Lead for Recovery, for her support.

Without her guidance and support it wouldn't have been possible,” he added.

Anyone interested in taking part in Voice Box discussion simply needs to register/enrol with the City & Hackney or the Bedfordshire and Luton recovery colleges.
