The Trust hosts an annual conference showcasing Research & Innovation @ ELFT.

The event, which is usually attended by hundreds of people, is open to all staff, service users, carers and members of the public. The half-day conference consists of brief presentations on a wide range of research projects that are being conducted in the Trust, ranging from epidemiological studies to clinical trials and qualitative work.

The event will be held on the first Wednesday of November (6 November 2024) from 2:00-5:30pm. It will also utilise a hybrid format of in-person sessions and online attendance for those who are unable to physically make it on the day.

Details on how to register will be published in early Autumn 2024.

Over the years, feedback regarding the ELFT Annual Conference has been overwhelmingly positive...

"excellent bite-size info"

"very well organised, informative"

"fantastic range of presentations"

"I enjoy coming to this event, even if I am not a clinician, as I enjoy learning and listening to different research."

While for clinicians the event provided "a chance to consider applications of research into many areas of my work."

ELFT (previous) Non-Executive Director, Jenny Kay, said the conference was a "great afternoon. Very good to hear the breadth of research underway. [I am impressed with] the youth and talent of the presenters (and some very experienced presenters with great 'gravitas' too! I learnt a lot."
