NHS 111 'Option 2'
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you are able to call NHS 111 and select 'Option 2' in east London, Bedfordshire and Luton.
We have fully trained professionals ready to support young people experiencing a mental health crisis via NHS 111, Option 2.
This is available 24 hours a day all year round. This is free to call, and you won't be charged.
A&E Departments
Help is also available at the following Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments if you need medical treatment or are struggling to keep yourself safe in the present moment.

If you're under 35 years and having thoughts about suicide (or are concerned for a young person who might be) you can call 0800 068 4141 between 9 am and midnight, every day of the year. Their trained advisors will help you focus on staying safe.
SHOUT text service
Text NATTER to 85258 to access free text support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your text will be answered by trained volunteers and it’s confidential unless they’re concerned about your safety.
Samaritans
Call 116 123 for free to speak to a trained volunteer about whatever you’re going through any time, day or night. It’s confidential unless they feel you’re at risk. Their helpline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Childline
If you’re under 19 years old, you can call 0800 1111 for free to speak to a trained counsellor. You can talk to them about anything. No problem is too big or too small. Childline is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they specialise in supporting children and young people.
REFLECT text service (Bedfordshire & Luton only)
The service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can help with issues such as anxiety, stress, loneliness, depression and suicidal thoughts. The conversation, which takes place entirely by text message, aims to help the person texting reach a calmer place with a plan to move forward. It will also signpost them to further support available locally.
