24/7 Emergency crisis care
We have fully trained professionals ready to support young people experiencing a mental health crisis. This is available 24 hours a day all year round by calling the following numbers. All numbers are free to call, you won't be charged:
- If you live in City & Hackney call 0800 073 0006
- If you live in Luton call NHS 111 & ask for 'Option 2'
- If you live in Newham call 0800 073 0066
- If you live in Tower Hamlets call 0800 073 0003
- If you live in Bedfordshire call NHS 111& ask for 'Option 2'
NHS 111, 'Option 2' in East London
You are also able to call NHS 111 and select 'Option 2' in East London. Calls to the local crisis lines currently in place at ELFT will be diverted to the centralised 111, option 2 service, meaning that no calls will be missed.
We encourage those known to services to continue contacting them in the ways they had been doing so previously during working hours. Those wishing to contact a mental health professional outside of hours – or those who aren’t previously known to services – should contact 111 and select option 2. Read more in our website news item.
A&E Departments
Additionally, we have CAMHS professional available in three A&E hospital departments in east London every day from 9am - 9pm, seven days a week. Outside of these hours, you can speak to a trained mental health professional. Addresses are below.
If you do not live or work in any of our three east London boroughs, or Bedfordshire & Luton, you can call NHS 111 and choose Option 2 for mental health crisis support.

A&E Departments
Help is also available at the following Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments if you need medical treatment or are struggling to keep yourself safe in the present moment:
