CAMHS taught me about my OCD and reassured me that it was not something to be embarrassed of.
OCD is very common and nothing to be ashamed of. We all have our different ways of dealing with things and when I started to go to CAMHS and I opened up to someone it was a really helpful experience.
The people I saw were amazing people and really helped me to understand my thoughts in a supportive and friendly way. Things started to get better with CAMHS and I found I could easily talk to them because I knew they were not judgemental people and what I told them was confidential (within the boundaries of my safety).
I would recommend them to anyone who feels they cannot handle their emotions or who is struggling.
