City and Hackney Specialist CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team
We assess children and young people for Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We run groups to support families who have a child diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental disorder and can provide therapeutic work for children and young people who have mental health difficulties alongside their diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.

Who's in our team?
The Neurodevelopmental team includes:
- specialist CAMHS practitioners
- psychologists
- nurse practitioners
- therapists from different disciplines
- psychiatrists
All young people diagnosed with ASC or ADHD and their families will be invited to post-diagnosis support groups. Children, young people and families are assigned a clinician and may also be invited to join other groups or pathways of treatment as appropriate.
Waiting times
There is a growing need for neurodevelopmental assessments and all referrals will be placed on a waiting list.
Referrals are screened for urgent and time-sensitive cases.
We are working hard to reduce waits and keep young people and families better informed. We would also ask for your patience in this situation.
The NDT team answer the question - What does neurodiversity mean to you?
Information about coming for a QB appointment
The Qb test is a computer based task that uses age and sex matched comparisons to assess a child's ability to concentrate during the task and measures their movements and impulsivity.
