The Intensive Community Care Service (ICCS) provides treatments and interventions to young people alongside their existing community CAMHS team, to receive the right help at the right time to build the strength they need to be safe, healthy and to achieve within the community.
The service can provide intensive interventions based on individual need for up to 12 weeks, 9am-5pm 7 days a week. The team aims to provide interventions to young people within their local community whilst liaising with their families' / support network.
The interventions provided can look different from person to person depending on individual needs, sometimes this may be a few appointments for an assessment. Our assessments explore any mental health difficulties young people may have, as well as considering other challenges they are facing and how the support network can best address these. Sometimes young people may benefit from working with our team to address a specific difficulty. We like to think with the young person and family/carers about what this looks like, how often a young person would like to be seen and where.
