Migration status is a key determinant of health. Children and Young People (CYP: <18 years) are more likely than adults to be refugees and asylum-seekers, and have inherent additional vulnerabilities, particularly to communicable diseases. An overall 'healthy migrant' effect has been demonstrated among adults, but outcomes for communicable diseases may be worse.1 Evidence for health outcomes among migrant CYP (living in a country other than that of their birth) is lacking. Our objectives are to summarise evidence on communicable diseases among migrant CYP. These results are part of a larger systematic review addressing a range of health outcomes among migrant CYP.
