The Newham Community Paediatric Dietetics service sits within the Children’s Community Nursing Service, part of East London Foundation Trust’s Specialist Children and Young People’s Services (SCYPS)
We look after infants, children and young people in Newham with Neurological/ developmental disorders, palliative care needs and/or requiring tube feeding. Age range 0 - 18 years (19 years if palliative) who have been referred by a GP or other healthcare professional.
The CCNS Service also includes the Diana team (Children’s Palliative Nursing), Community Children’s Nursing (CCNT), Epilepsy, Continuing Care, Specialist School Nursing and Asthma Services.
Accepted referrals are seen according to priority and verbal referrals require following up with a form for clinical audit purposes.
Referrals may be made by GPs, Paediatric Consultants or a qualified Nurse or Allied Health Professional. Self-referrals are not accepted.

Referral Criteria: Children (birth up to 18 years, or 19 if care is being managed under the SCYPS Diana service) with neurological/developmental disorders, palliative, or tube feeding.
Priority 1 To be seen within 1-2 weeks |

The service opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
There is no Bank Holiday service
