To ensure we get the opinions of those who have experienced chronic depression, we have a ‘lived experience advisory panel’. The LEAP help to support the research team at all points through the programme of research, offering their expertise and insight into what it is like to live with, or care for someone, with chronic depression.
The LEAP meet 2-3 times a year and engage in a wide range of activities, such as facilitating workshops, ensuring the language that is used is inclusive and appropriate, and helping to decide which questionnaires we use within the research.
The LEAP expert members come from all walks of life and reflect the diversity of people affected by chronic depression.
