Nursing and Care Staffing Levels

The Chief Nursing Officer and the National Quality Board published a paper in November 2013: How to Ensure the Right People with the Right Skills are in the Right Place at the Right Time: A Guide to Nursing, Midwifery and Care Staffing Capacity and Capability.

One of the actions from this paper is for all healthcare providers to be open and transparent with patients and the public, regarding staffing capacity and capability.

It is important that patients, their families/carers and the public know that we have the appropriate number of staff on duty with the right skill mix to provide care that is safe, of high quality and compassionate.

Every month, we will publish information about our staffing levels on this page of the website.
