With your donation we can continue to put the patients, their carers and staff of the only referral hospital in Uganda. Make a difference and help us improve mental health in Uganda by setting up a regular donation today.

Here is how you can donate:
As the Trust is not a registered charity, we are not able to accept donations directly. However, an agreement was made with Barts Charity (the charity of Barts NHS Trust) at the founding of the Link for Barts Charity to administer donations made to the Link on the East London NHS Trust’s behalf.
Barts hold a Special Purchase Fund (SPF) for the Butabika Link. Individuals can donate to this fund and Barts will administer the donations and claim the Gift Aid on behalf of the Link.
Should you wish to donate, please click below.
The Link’s Special Purchase Fund account is ‘SPF4020 Butabika’, please enter this under the option ‘A Particular Ward or Service’.
Why set up a regular donation?
Setting up a regular donation is the most efficient way to donate, and helps us to plan ahead for key projects and expenditure.
You may prefer to make a one-off donation for which we are also very grateful. Thank you.
Your gift will help us with:
- The introduction of many Ugandan staff to principles and practice of mental health and service user involvement during exchanges to the UK
- User involvement events, groups and consultations in Uganda as part of Link development work
- Ongoing project development with other user groups such as Mental Health Uganda and the Schizophrenia Fellowship
- The development of Uganda's first formal peer support worker service to run alongside statutory mental health services
