There is an exciting opportunity for an additional consultant psychiatrist to work in Bedfordshire and Luton to support the development of a countywide perinatal service.
There is a well established multidisciplinary team who work collaboratively with colleagues in other mental health services, maternity services and health visiting services. There are networks with other East London perinatal services in addition to perinatal services across East of England.
In addition to direct clinical care, the service is active in quality improvement. There are training and development opportunities in quality improvement in the Trust and there are strong collaborative working relationships with People Participation.

This is a full-time post.
The post-holder will provide consultant leadership, supervision, and support to the inpatient team. They will work with the ward manager and modern matron to deliver high quality inpatient treatment to the population of male adults living in West Hackney and who require inpatient admission. They will contribute to the overall management and service development of Joshua Ward.
The post-holder will coordinate leave and cover arrangements for the patients they have RC responsibility for, with the other inpatient consultants, and occasionally with community consultant psychiatrists. We are keen to develop clinical and medical leadership.

The Trust is seeking a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to work in the Forensic Service. The post is available due to an expansion in the community forensic service and a consultant psychiatrist leaving the Trust.
This is a whole time 10 PA appointment. The intention is for the postholder to spend approximately 5PAs working on Woodberry Ward and 5PAs in Tower Hamlets. Those interested in part-time or flexible working should though make contact to discuss possible arrangements.
The post holder will join four existing consultants who work in the low secure service. The East London area served by the Trust is one of the most culturally diverse and deprived areas in England and therefore provides significant challenges for the provision of health services. Consultant Psychiatrist - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Bedforshire - Emotional & Behavioral Team
The post-holder is expected to provide senior clinical leadership to Bedfordshire EBT and cover other clinical duties within the wider service together with other Consultant colleagues. Clinical Leadership to the team will be provided by a consultant jointly with a non-medical Clinical Team Lead.
The EBTs provide assessment and treatment to a wide range of emotional and behavioural disorders. Each EBT comprises a full range of CAMHS disciplines including child psychotherapy, clinical psychology, family therapy and nursing, as well as child and adolescent psychiatry.
All clinical pathways are made up of a variety of core disciplines.
The consultant will be expected to work with local managers and professional colleagues to support the efficient running of the service. Subject to the provisions of terms and conditions of service, the post holder will be expected to observe the agreed policies of the East London Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and the procedures drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters. The post holder will be expected to adhere to Trust policies.

This is a 0.8 wte, 8 sessions post. Bedford CAMHS are part of the ELFT Specialist Services directorate, providing assessment and treatment of young people with mental health disorders up to the age of 18 years.
All ELFT CAMH Services comprise a number of multidisciplinary teams based upon care pathways including:
- Adolescent Mental Health Team
- Emotional & Behavioural Team(s)
- Neurodevelopmental Team (Learning Disability and Autism +/- ADHD)
- LAC / Targeted Team
