And it can all start with having a conversation about what being autistic means to someone.
ELFT is currently undergoing a co-produced Trustwide review of how we can improve the experiences and outcomes of autistic people; including our service users and work colleagues. We have just recruited two People Participation Leads for Autism to support this work.
Also, in the next few months, the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism will start to be rolled out for all staff working in Health and Social Care. This important training will help to further improve the experience of service users.
Please feel free to contact Debbie Alaluf, Strategic Lead for Autism on debbie.alaluf@nhs.net if you have information you would like to share (including local initiatives and projects).
