The event was a chance to come together and enjoy the balmy weather. This was World Homeless Day and with October being designated as Stoptober, staff were out in force to chat to people about their health. Groundswell, a charity specialising in support for homeless people, were also on hand.
Attendees were able to have a health check including the measurement of their weight, height, heart rate, blood pressure and a flu jab.
The Stoptober team signed up a number of people to start on their smoking cessation programme.
Hot and cold drinks and a hearty meal were also on offer, plus information about groups and services that can support people in unstable accommodation or who are street-homeless.
There was even the chance of some pampering with hand and nail care on offer.
Delroy, one of the attendees, enjoyed sitting in the sun chatting to people. He said, "Events like this are really great. The NHS should create more of these social gatherings. They are a great way to get information and socialise."
Delroy is in luck as the Greenhouse team are already planning their legendary winter event!
