The event has been organised to share and discuss learning and outcomes of the pandemic, including how services adapted in providing more flexible and patient centred care.
The symposium is at King’s House in Bedford on Friday, May 27, 2022 and will feature seminars, coaching, products and wellbeing breakout rooms.
There will also be a resident artist and live theatre performance.
It is a collaborative educational event organised by East London NHS Foundation Trust’s Bedfordshire Community Health Services and by Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
An open invite has been extended to colleagues from across the region’s mental health, community health, primary care, social care, ambulance, hospital, care home and children’s services.
Queen’s Nurse (QN) and BCHS practice development lead nurse Ed Phillips is organising the event in partnership with Emma Hutt, lead resuscitation nurse practitioner for the hospital Trust.
“This is an opportunity for health and social care professionals to listen and to share the lessons learned from the pandemic in a collaborative and supportive environment,” said Ed.
“We will explore dynamic changes in service delivery and learn about the staff and patient experience from all aspects of the patient journey - from hospital to the community setting, residential and nursing homes.”
He added: “There will be a reflective and compassionate theme throughout, acknowledging the challenges and sacrifices we have all faced.”
Tickets for the free event, organised in partnership with Stryker, can be reserved through this EventBrite page.
