More than 70 people participated in the webinar on March 5, with the session held to enable guests to learn, reflect and discuss what the population health topic means in terms of how we work as an NHS Trust and with partners across place.
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation presented their research on destitution, including why levels of destitution are increasing and which population groups are most affected.
Lizzie Owen, Public Health Principal lead on Migrant Health and TB at Newham, and Dan Hopewell, Director of Knowledge and Innovation at the Bromley by Bow Health Partnership also shared details of their work.
The Trust’s commitment to develop and share accessible cost of living information was also highlighted by Susan Downing, ELFT’s Cost of Living Lead with the People Participation (PP) team.
“I would like to thank everyone who took their time to attend and consider such an important theme,” said Laura Austin Croft, ELFT Director of Population Health.
“If there are topics you would like included in future webinars then do please contact me by emailing laura.austincroft@nhs.net.”
