A Trust service user and two ELFT teams have been shortlisted for the 2022 Royal College of Psychiatrists Awards, based on their quality improvement work.
Dr. Chloe Beale, a consultant psychiatrist based in Hackney, is also a finalist, for the category Psychiatric Communicator of the Year.
The annual RCPsych awards identify and celebrate outstanding RCPsych members and their work, and highlight pioneering projects working towards improving peoples’ mental health nationally and internationally.
The Hackney Integrated Learning Disabilities Service are finalists for the Psychiatric Team of the Year: Quality Improvement category, as is the John Howard Centre’s Morrison Ward.
Craig Donohoe, service user and QI coach with lived experience, is a finalist for the category Patient Contributor of the Year.
ELFT’s Chief Quality Officer, Dr Amar Shah said:
“I’m incredibly proud of that Craig and our team teams from Morrison ward and Hackney learning disabilities service have been shortlisted for these national awards. It’s testament to the tremendous leadership and courage that all have displayed in championing improvement.”
