More than fifty guests joined Dr Mohit Venkataram, ELFT Executive Director for Primary Care, and guest speaker Dr Dave Triska at the evening event on April 20.
Dr Triska, a former army medical officer and GP partner at Witley & Milford Surgery in Surrey since 2015, shared the practice change journey and addressed three key themes:
-
How can online consulting make primary care safer?
-
How can we support long-term condition care through technology?
-
How can we free GPs from restrictive structures and make our job fulfilling again?
The presentation generated a range of thought-provoking questions from guests, which included GPs from across the country.
“It was a privilege to host an event with such an engaged, informed and curious audience of primary care professionals,” said Dr Venkataram.
“The depth of discussion generated was remarkable.
“It was the insight and energy from Dr Triska which was the catalyst for such a rewarding event. He was excellent.”
Dr Triska is also Clinical Lead for Online Consulting in Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System (ICS). He is interested and keen on leveraging online consulting to support the most vulnerable patients in getting care.
