Digital sessions have been held over the last few years but this was the first opportunity for all members to meet in person.
The group gathered at the Forest of Marston Vale at the end of September to discuss their approach on reaching as many teams and colleagues so they are aware of People Participation (PP) and actively refer service users and carers to the group.
The WTG is part of PP, which provides involvement opportunities for people on their personal recovery journey and empowers people with lived experience to work alongside healthcare professionals to continuously improve how care is shaped and provided.
The group offers opportunities for training – from QI to interview skills – and peer support.
It is open to any anyone accessing ELFT BCHS services and those caring for a loved one assessing services.
“Our WTG group is friendly, accessible and a safe space for people to share ideas on how we can improve and co-produce our services” said Kamila Naseova, PP Lead for BCHS (adult services).
“If you are a service user or carer and want to get involved, or if you are an ELFT colleague and have service users and/or carers you think would benefit from PP, then we would love to hear from you.”
