Ninety primary care colleagues joined Dr Mohit Venkataram, ELFT Executive Director for Primary Care, and guest speaker Professor Rebecca Malby at the evening event on May 18.
Professor Rebecca Malby, Director of the Health Systems Innovation Lab and Professor in Health Systems Innovation at London South Bank University, addressed two key themes:
- How to meet need and not demand in general practice;
- The new long-term conditions of long Covid-19 and waiting: how to solve them.
The presentation generated a range of thought-provoking questions from guests, which included GPs from across the country.
“Professor Malby provided us with a lot of food for thought,” said Dr Venkataram.
“The feedback received and the number of comments during the session were remarkable.”
“It really showed Rebecca's ability to open up a world with a very different perspective and her captivating energy.”
Professor Malby's work on '10 Leaps Forward – Innovation in the Pandemic' has had global reach. She is also an advisor to the RSA Future of Health and Care programme, and the Bromley By Bow Social Prescribing Evaluation. Read her full bio here.
