Fothergill Ward, which is one of two wards based in the East Ham Care Centre in Newham, has won a prestigious London Healthcare Support Worker Award.
The Awards are dedicated to honouring the contributions of HCSWs, teams and trusts across London, recognising the pivotal role they play in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, 17th October at Kensington Town Hall – organised by NHS England, London region’s HCSW Programme team.
Fothergill was presented with a Highly Commended Award for Team of the Year by Kate Gardiner, who is the Head of Nursing Workforce Improvement at NHS England.
Commenting on the brilliant win, the Inpatient Matron for Fothergill Ward, Chantal Riviere said: “Our healthcare support workers play a pivotal role in providing care to patients who are admitted onto Fothergill Ward.
“I am pleased that the HCSW team is being recognised for the vital support it provides to these patients and their loved ones. Congratulations team!”
