About Elaine Goodwin:
Since October 2020 Elaine has been working as National Lead Nurse for Inclusion Health at NHS England and NHS Improvement across both the Chief Nursing Officer and Health Inequality Improvement Teams, striving to ensure that inclusion health is prioritised and appropriate actions are implemented throughout all NHSEI and cross government programmes of work. As a nurse, health visitor and NHS leader, Elaine is passionate about ensuring the transformation of safe, quality and effective services to improve access, experience and ensure the best possible health outcomes of the most excluded and disadvantaged people and their communities at all levels. Elaine has worked at a national level in the NHS for over 25 years in a wide range of inclusion health areas including Refugee, Homeless, Gypsy Traveller, Sexual Health, Mental health, Substance Misuse, Prisons and Police Custody services. Elaine has also led a range of mainstream services and clinical pathways areas including the Leeds Diabetes Strategy and virtual wards.
