When it comes to recycling, we all have to be creative. In order to do it effectively, we need to think outside the box. Putting our recyclables in the bin is not sufficient – we need to be proactive and find new ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Recycling is important because it helps in fighting against global warming. It cuts carbon emissions while also protecting the natural environment. Recycling benefits the environment as it follows the waste to energy principles that reduces the consumption of raw materials. This leads to a reduction in air pollution (from incineration), water pollution and soil pollution (from landfilling), and energy usage.
You can now attend this British Computer Society event regarding Global Recycling Day organised by Santana Luis in ELFT's Digital Team.

Sustainability in Digital
We continue to promote more awareness within the ICT professionals & healthcare sector and the general public as E-waste is the largest and fastest-growing waste and it's impacts to human health and the environment. As Global citizens, we need to promote more ethical sustainable practices, design for the environment solutions and enhance a circular economy in all ICT services, products and solutions.
The UK generates the second-highest amount of e-waste per capita in the world, with 23.9 kg, according to the analysis. Recent research suggests that by 2024, the UK will overtake Norway to become the world’s biggest contributor.
This UK campaign is calling on households to start reusing or recycle your old electricals at Recycle Your Electricals.
