The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has named the Trust’s Greenhouse Practice as one of the 20 best HP surgeries in London.
The Hackney practice provides care to people living in hostels or supported accommodation, rough sleepers, and people who spend a significant amount of time on the street or in other public places.
All ratings of 2,121 London GP practices have been published by the CQC – with its top 20 list comprising all practices rated ‘outstanding’.
The CQC rates healthcare providers from ‘outstanding’ to ‘requires improvement’ and measures include waiting times, whether staff treat patients with respect and whether staff are trained effectively.
The CQC also conducts regular inspections of surgeries - and this might include speaking to patients and staff, inspecting policies and observing care. In London, 20 GPs have been given the highest ranking of outstanding. Another 1,866 were rated "Good".
