Health E1 Medical Centre is seeking support from organisations and the public to provide long-life food supplies, toiletries and clothing. These donations will be distributed to visitors at its health and wellbeing fair on June 7, 2024.
The fair aims to be a one-stop health and help shop for people living in hostels or supported accommodation, rough sleepers, sofa surfers, and those who spend significant time on the street or in public places.
The donations of food, toiletries, and clothes will provide invaluable support for Health E1 patients.
The fair will be held at the practice at 9-11 Brick Lane from 10 am to 2 pm.
Donors can drop off donations at the practice or call 0207 247 0090 for more information.
Food bank items and free supplies of clothes will be available, along with free haircuts, health and social care support, and other assistance for visitors.
Health E1 Medical Centre is part of East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), a provider of primary care, community health, and mental health services.
“This event reflects our unwavering commitment to being creative and innovative in how we support some of the most vulnerable people in our society,” said Laura Pisaneschi, Advanced Clinical Practitioner at the practice.
“We deeply appreciate everyone in the community who contributes to ensuring people feel supported across the borough," said Mohammed Almahfuz, Practice Manager.
Health E1 supports anyone in Tower Hamlets experiencing homelessness, living in a hostel, hotel, temporary accommodation, or those who are sofa surfing or not registered with a GP and finding it hard to register with one.
