The Healthcare Careers Day included talks about healthcare careers in psychology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medicine, occupational therapy and administration. There were also talks on how to access apprenticeships and work experience placements.
The careers day was part of a Population Health Quality Improvement project to develop a programme that promotes ELFT careers to young people in the areas where we work.
A young person taking part in the day said, “The information given was helpful for if I want to pursue a certain career, or if I want to consider other options for moving up in my career”.
Simmy, the Trust’s Pharmacy Workforce Development Lead, added, “Engaging with the students during the healthcare careers day was incredibly rewarding. It was inspiring to see their enthusiasm and curiosity about the various healthcare professions.”
A big thanks to the speakers who took part in the day and to the Trust’s external partners, Hackney Quest and Langdon Park School.
