We know that the festive period can be a difficult time to navigate for many people. That’s why the ELFT crisis lines across our patches are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
City & Hackney Mental Health Crisis Line
The City & Hackney Mental Health Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and is free to call – 0800 073 0006.
If you, or someone you know, are experiencing thoughts they cannot control, is in danger of harming themselves or someone else, is seeing or hearing things that are not there, or have any other urgent mental health crisis, please call the number.
Newham Mental Health Crisis Line
The Newham Mental Health Crisis Line is also open 24 hours a day to support people living in Newham who experience a mental health crisis. The Helpline is free to call and available 24 hours a day including at weekends and over Christmas. The Freephone number is 0800 073 0066.
Tower Hamlets Mental Health Crisis Line
Residents in Tower Hamlets can reach out to crisis call handlers on 0800 073 0003. It has been designed as a ‘first port of call’ for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis and to remove the need for those people to seek help via hospital A&E services.
Those looking to reach a mental health professional via the crisis line do not need to be known to mental health services – we’re here to listen.
Luton and South Bedfordshire Crisis Team/Bedford and Mid-Bedfordshire Crisis Team
The Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment (CRHT) teams work with a group of patients, who, without this support, would need to be admitted to hospital, or who cannot be discharged from hospital without intensive support.
The service enables patients who are in crisis, and not able to function at their normal level, to be supported in their own homes.
Call 111, option 2 as the first point of contact if experiencing a mental health crisis. Support is available 24/7.
Remember, we’re here to help during what can be a challenging festive period for many.
