About our mental health crisis lines
When someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, it can be an upsetting and distressing time, for them and the people around them.
That is why we remain committed to providing a mental health crisis Freephone support line, staffed by qualified, knowledgeable and empathetic mental health professionals who are there to respond to every call, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round. A service for everyone living in City & Hackney, Newham or Tower Hamlets.
Our intention is to ensure that people using the service continue to get the same or an improved level of care, while also continuing best staff practices to provide consistency in experience and equity of care.
We want to make sure that service users themselves are at the centre of planning these changes.
Your expertise and experiences can help us to plan and make sure our Freephone mental health crisis line is truly responsive to what people need when they call for help and advice.
By working together we can continue to keep improving our service, to keep making it better for people when they need it.
If you are unable to attend our drop in sessions but would like to let us know your thoughts about how our telephone lines work, email us at elft.eastlondoncrisisline@nhs.net.
