They are on the list of finalists in the ‘Improving Health Outcomes for Minority Ethnic Communities’ category at the prestigious 2024 HSJ Patient Safety Awards.
ELFT worked jointly with staff from the Hatters Health Primary Care Network (PCN) to undertake a Quality Improvement (QI) project. The aim was to identify black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) clients on Hatters Health PCN’s SMI register who had not engaged with primary care mental health services in the past two years, while improving engagement and uptake from 20% to 80%.
The team has now been invited to present the shortlisted entry to a judging panel in the middle of July, comprising of experts and industry specialists within the healthcare sector. They will have 25 minutes in front of the judges, made up of a 10-minute presentation and an additional 10-15 minutes for questions.
206 organisations, projects and individuals made the final shortlist from 415 entries. The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Monday, 16th September at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
