The results of the annual National NHS Staff Survey have been published today. The survey ran from 27 September to 30 November 2021 and was administered by Picker, a survey specialist, on behalf of the Trust to preserve anonymity. ELFT is above the Picker average in terms of the number of staff who would recommend the Trust as a place to work and who feel they are able to make improvements in their work.
Teams reported that they are working well to share objectives, they said they felt involved in deciding changes that affect work and felt that their Appraisal helped to agree objectives for work. The Trust had less positive scores around staff experiencing bullying and harassment or discrimination from patients/service users, their relatives or members of the public. Staff also reported feeling burnt out or feeling exhausted.
- 39 question responses were not significantly different to the previous year

Chief People Officer, Tanya Carter said, "Given the extremely challenging year we have had, I am grateful to everyone who took the time from their busy schedules to fill in the survey. I am pleased that despite what everyone has gone through during the COVID-19 pandemic, our staff survey results are positive.
We will be continuing to co-produce and prioritise areas for improvement within each directorate. I want to thank our staff for everything they have done, and for all that they continue to do for each other, and for service users, patients and carers."
