New Dunstable Health and Care Hub

ELFT services are among partners providing support for the Dunstable community through a new £43m integrated health and care hub.

Grove View is bringing together a broad range of services to support people’s physical, social care and mental health need all under one roof.

The address is: Court Drive, Dunstable LU5 4JD

It will deliver improved care locally through the integration of primary care, community, mental health and social care services, as well as the provision of wellbeing services through the voluntary sector.

A range of ELFT mental health and community health services will be based at the site.

Teams are due to start providing care from Grove View as part of a rolling programme during the spring and summer of 2023 and each service will contact service users with all relevant information.

Central Bedfordshire Council is leading the project in partnership with ELFT, Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (BLMK ICB) and Cambridgeshire Community Services.

The hub build also includes the development of 98 new one and two-bed homes for the over 55s.

The development is being funded by Central Bedfordshire Council with a contribution of £6.2m from the Housing Infrastructure Fund and £3.634 million from Homes England.

Grove View Integrated Health and Care Hub is located behind GO Bowling off Dunstable’s Court Drive.
 

The hub retains a central location well served by public transport, with direct bus routes from Houghton Regis, Luton and is a short bus ride from Leesdale Station.

  • It is a short walk from the town centre
  • Ample parking (2 hours free for service users) accessible parking bays
  • Bus stops nearby
  • Secure bike storage.

There are 171 parking bays for staff and patients visiting the hub including electric charging points and 14 disabled parking bays.

Parking is free for the first two hours for visitors to the hub. After that there is a sliding scale of charges that is time dependent.

Tickets for parking must be collected from the reception area and placed in your windscreen.
 

The hub is located close to existing bus routes. The following bus routes stop at Asda, Dunstable:

  • Centre bus services 40, 40A, B and E
  • Grant Palmer bus services C, Hi
  • Red Eagle 34
  • South Beds Dial a Ride 74, 232, 43
