Tracy Connellan, Admiral Nurse -specialist nurse in Dementia Care at Newham’s East Ham Care Centre, has been awarded a Cavell Star in recognition of her outstanding contribution to dementia care.
Cavell Star Awards is a national programme that celebrates the dedication of nurses and recognises the care they provide to patients and families as well as to colleagues.
The Cavell Star was presented to her by the Centre’s Lead Nurse Gavin Shields and Newham’s Extended Primary Care Team General Manager, Timi Ogunlouo in March.
In 2021 Tracy was appointed as an Admiral Nurse after Newham Community Services and Dementia UK worked together to create the role.
