Thanking Our Volunteers
When the NHS was given the task of vaccinating millions of people against COVID, we knew we couldn't do it alone. So a call went out for volunteers that could help. In North East London at our Westfield COVID Vaccination Centre, St. John Ambulance and the Royal Voluntary Service volunteers came forward to help us vaccinate 3,700,000 vaccines to date, and still continue to do so.
Time to Give Back
Their contribution in keeping our communities safe in a range of ways was momentous. The time has come to give back to these two incredible organisations who continue to support us. We've set up a JustGiving page to contribute to their work going forward as a way of saying thank you.

For St John Ambulance:
£10 could kit out volunteers with the correct equipment to treat sick or injured people.
£20 could help train new volunteers to continue our lifesaving work.
£25 could help a young person save the life of a loved one.
£40 could provide more ambulance and first aid crews across the country.
£50 could help them urgently train or upskill a volunteer.
£100 could help them continue to respond quickly to emergencies.
£250+ will support the future of St John Ambulance’s work through COVID-19 and beyond.
Royal Voluntary Service:
£10 could help a vulnerable person safely attend a vital medical appointment through our patient transport service.
£30 could help support someone returning from hospital alone with ongoing visits, food shopping and prescription collections.
£70 could cover the cost of recruiting, training, and placing a volunteer in an NHS hospital or local community. This will help us to be there for more vulnerable people when it matters most.
