Host Dr Mohit Venkataram, ELFT Executive Director for Primary Care, was joined by special guest Elaine Goodwin, National Inclusion Health Lead NHSE/I CNO & Health Inequalities Teams
Elaine discussed four key themes:
- Health Inequalities and reflections from the pandemic
- Inclusion Health and the LTP
- A draft national plan for Inclusion Health
- Enabling and supporting system improvements.
“There are disproportionate deaths from COVID-19 between those living in the most deprived areas and those living in the least deprived areas,” Elaine told guests.
Over 160 GPs and primary care professionals registered on Zoom to attend the webinar on June 15.
“The session was incredibly informative and the energy that Elaine brought into the virtual room very much showcased her passion and ambition about exploring health challenges and inequalities,” said Dr Venkataram.
