Deputy Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, Christina Guevara, has been shortlisted in both the 'Nurse Manager of the Year' and 'Manager of the Year (Non-Clinical)' categories.
Health E1's Practice Manager, Mohammed Almahfuz, has also been shortlisted in the Manager of the Year (Non-Clinical) category.
This recognition follows a national award won by Christina and her team earlier this year for increasing cervical screening. Mohammed was also acknowledged at the NEL Workforce Awards 2023 for his contributions.
Christina and Mohammed will meet with a judging panel on Tuesday, October 8. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Thursday, November 28.
The Nursing Times Workforce Awards highlight excellence in nurse recruitment, retention, wellbeing, inclusion, and other areas critical to overcoming workforce challenges in health and social care.
The event serves as an opportunity to address current workforce issues while honouring those who have made significant contributions to the profession.

The Trust’s Head of Nursing for Primary Care, Julie Roye, has also been shortlisted as Nurse Leader of the Year in the Nursing Times Awards 2024. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, October 23.
