Have you or a loved one recently received hospital or community care? Are you looking for a volunteering role where you can give back to the NHS?
The Health Research Authority (HRA) has an exciting opportunity for members of the public to volunteer to join their Research Ethics Committees.
Research Ethics Committees play a vital role in reviewing exciting new research studies for some of the biggest challenges in health and social care, including cancer, dementia and COVID-19.
It’s important that committees have insight from different perspectives. The HRA is therefore specifically looking for people who don’t have any healthcare or research experience to give their views on research applications.
You’ll be provided with regular training and support and it’s a great opportunity to learn new skills, work with people from a range of backgrounds and use your lived experiences to help make sure that research represents the people it will benefit.
