East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) is delighted to extend a hearty welcome to new colleagues from Kingsway Health Centre and Bramingham Park Medical Centre, Luton. Both centres officially joined the ELFT family on 1 October 2023, marking a significant milestone in ELFT’s continual journey to deliver innovative, inclusive, and community-focused care.
On 2 October, representatives from ELFT, including the CEO and the Executive Director of Primary Care, along with members of the Primary Care DMT, visited Bramingham and Kingsway practices. They were delighted to personally meet and greet every new colleague, symbolising the collaborative and inclusive spirit of ELFT. The integration of these esteemed practices enhances ELFT’s collective capability to deliver outstanding healthcare services to over 16,000 additional members of the Luton community.
Dr Mohit Venkataram, ELFT’s Executive Lead for Primary Care, expressed his enthusiasm and extended a heartfelt welcome, stating, “Welcoming such dedicated teams from Kingsway and Bramingham is truly exciting. The richness they bring with the service they have already provided to the community in Luton coupled with the support ELFT brings as a large scale provider of MH, Community health and Primary care services will support us in enriching lives in our diverse and vibrant Luton-based communities.”
The collaboration underscores ELFT's strategic focus on local population health, aligning with the priorities set by the NHS England Fuller stocktake report, and supports its pioneering role as the first Marmot Trust in the country. ELFT remains steadfast in its commitment to addressing the pivotal determinants of health, such as poverty and unemployment, endeavouring to redefine the scope of what an NHS Trust can achieve in promoting holistic wellbeing and community welfare.
