Today is World Mental Health Day - an opportunity for all of us to think about what we can do to help improve our own mental health and the people we care for.
This year's WMHD's theme is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'.
To help ensure that young people and their families know that help is available if they need it, Bedfordshire & Luton CAMHS have made a short film explaining that anyone can make a referral to access their services - and the process aims to be as smooth and straightforward as possible using the Single Point of Entry (SPOE) system.
Bedfordshire & Luton CAMHS aims to respond to every referral made within five working days.
On the launch of the CAMHS video guide to SPOE, Jo Meehan, Associate Director for Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS said:
"Making sure that referrals to CAMHS is a straightforward, easy to understand process is really important.
"GPs, school staff, social workers, parents and young people themselves (aged 14 and over) can make a referral.
"Making sure that people can get the right help at the right time is part of our commitment to making mental health and wellbeing for all."
