Improving the wellbeing and experience of staff is fundamental to improving how healthcare works. Worldwide, healthcare continues to face enormous social and economic challenges that put significant stress on staff, which then risks how care the quality and delivery and on the quality of that care.
At ELFT we have used improvement approaches to support teams to look at two major areas of staff stress, violence on inpatient wards (one of our first ever quality improvement priorities) and how to improve staff wellbeing at work.
