Role of Occupational Therapists in DCD
Occupational Therapists assist to identify, assess and formulate the Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) diagnosis with a Paediatrician.
We offer support to children to be as independent as possible across the areas of self-care, school productivity and leisure participation.
Following the assessment, appropriate support will be given through advice, leaflets and video resources. We are planning to provide individual or group sessions in the future. Schools and other agencies will be provided with training or guidance as needed to meet the child’s needs.
