Nebuliser Administration

SSNT can support the training of teaching assistants in using a nebuliser device. This device is used to administer medication that should be inhaled. We will deliver a teaching presentation and complete competency checks of staff before delegating this task.

This care delivery aspect will need to be included on the child’s school care plan. The SSNT will hold a meeting with family and school to review and sign the school care plan which needs to be in place before a child can commence school. The care plan is reviewed annually or as soon as there is a change in care delivery needs.
