Recently, our community learning disability services in Hackney and Bedfordshire & Luton took part in a 6-month pilot project to test a new digital App. The App is called Medii and it is a digital health App for people with learning disabilities and autism. Medii is made by a company called Tritone Health.
What is a pilot?
A pilot is a way of testing out a new project with a small group of people. The pilot will last for six months. When we have finished the pilot we will then know what has worked well and what hasn’t worked so well. We will then decide what to do next.
Why are we testing the App?
- To support people with learning disabilities to have more say about their health appointments.
- To make sure that people with learning disabilities can use digital technologies to support their health.
- To help health professionals gather more information about health appointments for people with learning disabilities.
