Fothergill Ward (Newham)
Fothergill ward is a 26-bed intermediate care ward in Newham for adult patients within Greater East London who have an intermediate clinical or nursing need, including end of life care.
More specifically, the service provides a community-based step up from primary and community and stepdown from the acute hospital setting to meet short term clinical and/or nursing complex needs .
There is no geographical or hospital-specific quota of patients; the ward will accept the next patient needing the bed and meeting the criteria - although historically a slight preference has been given to patients requiring end-of-life care.
- Ward Manager: Babalola Shotayo
