Our vision is the vision of our Service Users
The aims of our collaborative are defined by our users:
- We expect high-quality care closer to home.
- We want a community of services to ensure that the same high-quality care and treatment is available wherever we are.
- We want to be able to make informed choices and decision making, and the ability to influence care and treatment and the kind of facilities that will be available.
- We want care to be joined-up and familiar wherever we are.
- We want staff to be knowledgeable, supportive and have in mind our best interests.
- We want to be supported in our recovery and our journey to improved quality of life.
- We want to know we will be supported to progress and manage on our own.
We want tailored care to allow us to manage our own aftercare. Working with our service user aims, this translates into the following core key objectives for NCEL:
- Reducing out-of-area treatment
- Reducing the length of stay
- Agreed standards of care and reducing unwarranted variation
- Identifying need, agreeing new services and procurement
- To improve the outcome for service users to live life to the best
