Health E1 in Tower Hamlets, The Greenhouse practice in Hackney and Newham Transitional Practice in Newham have all achieved positive results, with many categories above the national average.
The practices are all managed by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT).
Key results from the patient survey:
Health E1
- 85 per cent of patients describe their overall experience as good (national average 74 per cent)
- 85 per cent say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at considering their mental wellbeing during their last general practice (national average 73 per cent)
- 93 per cent say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last appointment (national average 87 per cent)
The Greenhouse
- 79 per cent of patients describe their overall experience as good (national average 74 per cent)
- 93 per cent find the reception and administrative team helpful (national average 83 per cent)
- 75 per cent say it is easy to contact the practice using the NHS App (national average 45 per cent)
Newham Transitional Practice (NTP)
- 92 per cent of patients describe their overall experience as good (national average 74 per cent)
- 97 per cent say their needs were met during their last appointment (national average 90 per cent)
- 73 per cent say they have had enough support from local services or organisations in the last 12 months to help manage their long-term conditions or illnesses (national average 68 per cent)
The annual GP Patient Survey assesses patients' experiences of healthcare services provided by GP practices and experience of NHS pharmacy and dental services across the country.
Results were published on July 11 2024 and are available here.
Emily Van De Pol, director for primary care at ELFT, thanked everyone who completed the 2024 survey.
“Our patients will always be our priority,” she said.
“Their feedback is the benchmark we use to continually understand what we do well in primary care and where we need to further improve how we provide care,” she said.
