Therapies for anxiety and depression manual
Whether newly diagnosed or diagnosed for a long time, living with a long-term condition can be tough. It's also common for those living with a long-term condition to experience low mood and anxiety, because our physical health and mental health are closely linked. This can impact on our ability to attend to our physical health the best we can.
How Bedfordshire Talking Therapies can help you
Living with a long-term health condition can cause significant distress as our way of living may have changed, as well as our outlook for the future. We might be experiencing anxiety about the future, feeling quite low about our diagnosis or potentially be struggling with new ways to adapt to the changes that we are faced with. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help us in dealing with these challenges and 'live well' with our long term health condition.
We can support mental wellbeing in the context of long terms conditions for the following conditions:
-Cancer
-Cardia symptoms
-Chronic fatigue
-Chronic pain
-Diabetes
-Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS)
-Long covid
-Respiratory conditions (COPD, asthma etc)
As well as other conditions.
