What is People Participation (PP)?
People Participation is about service users, carers and staff working collaboratively to shape the future of services. We need service users and carers' help to create the best services, but this can only be achieved with your voice, expertise and insights.
Your time and experience are valuable and, as such, you are entitled to be paid for your time and claim expenses according to the rewards and recognition policy.
The team offers training and support for service users and carers who wish to be actively involved in the Trust ie: Interview Panels, Quality Improvement and Service Accreditation.
Are you a current service user or carer of Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies?
The People Participation team supports service users and carers of ELFT services to become involved in all aspects of the Trust’s work. The experience of PP is different for each person.
Feedback from service users involved in PP
"Participation has empowered me to become more than my diagnosis. It has helped me on a pathway to achieve my own goals whilst improving and shaping services at the same time."
"We all have our own experiences about what works and what doesn't. This platform allows our thoughts and voices to being heard and to start exploring solutions. Personally, it gives me great joy that a lot of the ideas that we have conceived are going to help others."
